TMRB brings the water and builds the structures on a farm. We do not grow crops and we do not keep animals: we install irrigation, drinking lines and farm buildings, and we buy inputs from suppliers we already know.

Watering through the dry season

In the Centre, the year brings rain in quantity; what it lacks is even timing. Irrigation earns its keep first in the dry-season window, when Yaounde runs short of vegetables. We equip market gardens, plantain and pineapple; for cassava, grown rain-fed, we mostly handle washing and processing water.

Inline-emitter drip lines on beds or ridges, with disc filtration and flush valves right at the head unit. We ask for a water analysis before sizing: iron and borehole fines block emitters.

Sprinkler irrigation

Sprinklers and mini-sprinklers for leaf vegetables, nurseries and pineapple, which takes water and treatments over the foliage. Through a long dry season, sprinklers hold up better than drip alone.

Supply and storage

A main run from the borehole, well or catchment out to the plot, then a water tower or raised tank feeding the network by gravity. Storage is not just a tank: it is the reserve that holds when the power drops.

Solar pump or motor pump

A solar submersible or a motor pump, chosen on total head and the borehole's real yield. On crystalline basement, yield changes from site to site: a pumping test settles it, a brochure does not.

Clean water, closed loop

Drinking water is the first route of contamination in a livestock house. An open drinker sits at animal height: litter, droppings and dust fall into it all day, heat does the rest, and biofilm settles in the pipework. A closed-loop nipple line, set for pressure and height, removes that open surface, keeps the litter dry and brings ammonia down.

A line hung on a winch, built with a pressure regulator, a water meter, a medicator and drip cups. It is raised as the birds grow, so they drink with the head up.

Drinkers and nipples

Jar drinkers for brooding, then nipples; bowl drinkers or bite nipples for pigs, constant-level troughs for cattle. Height and flow are set by age: set wrong, they wet the litter.

Biosecurity and cleaning

Foot dip, hygiene airlock, downtime between batches, and descaling and disinfection of the lines with the house empty. A clean circuit also delivers vaccines and treatments in the water at the intended dose.

Construction on the farm

This is where the agro-pastoral division meets construction: a poultry house, a piggery or a store is masonry, roof framing and roofing, run by the same teams as our Yaounde sites. Plumbing and water go in with the building, not on top of it afterwards.

Poultry houses and piggeries

A washable slab, fall to the drain, low walls and mesh for airflow, a foot dip at the door. The building is drawn for cleaning and disinfection between batches, not only to house the animals.

Cattle sheds and shelters

Concreted yards, constant-level troughs fed from the tank, and drainage dealt with at earthworks stage so the ground does not waterlog in the heavy rains.

Feed and input stores

A dry, ventilated store, a raised floor and pallets for feed, seed and fertiliser, with a lock that holds. A wet sack is a lost sack, and storage costs less than the loss.

Sourcing, not farming

TMRB does not grow crops and does not keep animals. We buy on the client's behalf and put them in front of suppliers known through our two hardware stores and our sites. Origin, variety and price are stated before purchase; what we do not do, we say so and we name the firm that does.

Planting material

Cassava cuttings, sword suckers of plantain, nursery plantlets and tissue-culture stock, pineapple suckers, slips and crowns, vegetable seed. The variety and the source are written on the order.

Fertiliser and amendments

NPK with the formula stated, urea, foliar feeds, lime and dolomite for the acid soils of the Centre, organic matter and poultry manure. A sack is ordered by formula, not by habit.
